Her debut EP, 'Alari', followed in August 2021, earning her a nomination for Best Vocal Performance (Female) at the 2022 Headies Awards, an award she later won at the 17th Headies in 2025. After departing DMW in early 2023, Liya has continued to release music independently.
Run To God (R.T.G) is a testament to the dynamic nature of Afrobeats, blending elements of Afro-pop and Afro-fusion. Released in January 2026, the song features meticulous production by the exceptionally skilled Nigerian record producer, Swankii.
